Abstract
The purpose of this study is to find the determinants of dental service use, especially scaling service use. The past studies focused mostly on fact of oral hygiene, factors of visits, satisfaction of patients¡¯s care, etc. This study focuses on the factors like fear which have rarely been examined
The data collected in this study was gathered through questionnaire survey and clinical oral exam with 251 employees in Shiwha & Panweol industrial complex - from Sept. 25 to Oct. 11 in 2005
The results are as follows
1. The logistic regression analysis showed that worker¡¯s fear was a significant factor in predicting dental use
2. Those with more concern for dental care were more likely to visit the dental clinic for scaling
